Auto Additions, a restyling and truck accessories shop located north of Columbus, Ohio, showcased six heavily customized vehicles at the Columbus International Auto Show last weekend. The shop’s 2017 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited—fully loaded with the Predator package, which includes a custom suspension, interior leather, head unit and audio, fender flares and bumpers, graphics, exhaust, hood, and wheels and tires—elicited Oohs and Ahhs at the consumer show.
“We show everything, from practical everyday use products, like clear mask, tint, leather, heated seats, all the way to suspension lift packages and huge wheels and tires,” said Josh Poulson, principal of Auto Additions. Poulson also writes a monthly column for THE SHOP magazine.
This is the second year Auto Additions has demonstrated product at the show. Poulson said his shop doesn’t necessarily exhibit at the show to promote Auto Additions, but the auto aftermarket as a whole.
“We partner with the local Auto Dealers Association to show off products that people can upgrade their vehicles with at the time of purchase,” he said. “Instead of trying to market our shop, we stress the ability to get these products through the local dealerships when they purchase their next vehicle. So, more than anything it is bringing awareness to the products available so that consumers buy, and car dealers sell more of them.”
Auto Additions Predator package for the Jeep Rubicon is offered by a local dealership for $80,000. The package includes products from Alpine, Katzkin, Rancho, Fab Fours, Warn, Zone Off Road, and Mickey Thompson.
Poulson’s latest article in THE SHOP, titled Show it Off!, can be found on page 44 of the April issue.
