
The National Federation of Independent Business on Wednesday, May 24, will offer a webinar covering updates to OSHA compliance. The hour-long webinar starting at noon EST will include the current Top 10 violations and maximum penalties.
“We’ll highlight ways to protect yourself, your employees, and your business from severe weather,” according to NFIB. “You will be able to recognize and treat symptoms of heat Illness and protect yourself and your employees from heat stress. You will also learn about new safety apps for electronic devices and how they can assist with providing safety information and controlling hazards.”
Kim Coonrod and Courtney Rosengartner will lead the webinar.
Coonrod is the director of loss control for Markel Specialty Commercial in Omaha, Nebraska. His loss control experience over the past 25 years includes working with a wide range of policyholders and classes of business to gain an understanding of their operations, the status of accident prevention programs, assisting in safety program development, and providing guidance in the correction of safety and health hazards that employees are exposed.
Rosengartner is a senior loss control specialist with Markel Specialty Commercial in Omaha, Nebraska. She began working for Markel in 2003. She has worked in loss control for the past 10 years with primary focus on accident prevention services for workers compensation.
