President Barack Obama and Labor Department Secretary Thomas Perez yesterday announced the publication of the final rule updating the overtime regulations. The effective date of the new rules is Dec. 1.
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is providing a free webinar at noon EST on May 25 on overtime rule compliance. Guest speaker Tammy McCutchen, a principal at Littler Mendelson and leading authority on federal and state wage-hour laws and prevailing wage laws, will lead the webinar, according to NFIB.
