Jeff Trudell started a successful trucking company named Valley Transport in Green Bay, Wisconsin many years ago. He also started racing motorcycles and cars on sports car courses like Road America, in Elkhart Lake, which gave him an uncontrollable itch.
Well, one thing led to another and now he has opened a high-performance shop called Trudell Performance LLC. The shop’s motto is “Don’t lower your expectations of what performance should be, let us raise your level of performance to meet your expectations.”
Trudell Performance held a combined grand opening and open house on June 16. The shop was filled with upgraded late-model muscle cars such as Saleen Mustangs, a Shelby Super Snake, a Subaru racing car and several hopped-up Buell motorcycles.
Trudell said that he tinkers with some of the cars himself, but he leaves most of the heavy lifting up to his “two-and-a-half” wrench-twisting mechanics who know how to make a race car or a street car go fast.
Trudell’s clean, modern shop is also a stocking dealer for a lot of the latest high-tech go-fast hardware like superchargers, turbos, custom exhaust systems and more. He also pointed out that anything he doesn’t stock in-house can be found and mail ordered for arrival in a day or two.
